Poynton (1sts) continue to look like title contenders as they beat Runcorn Town 3-0 away from home. Runcorn started very brightly having plenty of the ball but as Poynton found their feet in the game, it was the visitors who took the lead after 25 minutes when Rick Tindall headed home Nathan Shaw's cross. After a good Poynton build up Mark Faulkner found himself on the end of a string of passes and slotted home to give Poynton a 2-0 lead. Tindall put the game eyond Runcorn's reach in the 70th minute when he hit home from close range.
The Reserves had to come from behind three times to earn a well deserved point at the Sports Club. Steve Saunders (2) and Scott Bakkor put Rylands ahead only for Paul McNeill (Bills) to reply with a hat-trick.
The Vets took the short journey to Stockport Georgians to play Offerton Green. They came close to taking the lead early on with Steve Lavelle hitting the underside of the Offerton cross bar from outside the box only for Danny Hollands to some how not convert the re-bound. Two well worked 2nd half goals saw off the Vets in which was otherwise an even contest.
